Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:
Primary objective
To determine the effects of cognitive rehabilitation for people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in enabling survivors of TBI to return to their occupation (occupations refers to all the things that people do in their everyday life, not just paid employment).
Secondary objectives
To evaluate the effectiveness and impact of cognitive rehabilitation interventions aimed at improving cognitive functions for people with TBI.
To examine whether there is a differential effect for the remediating and the compensatory intervention strategies used.
To evaluate the effectiveness and impact of cognitive rehabilitation interventions aimed at improving quality of life of persons with TBI.
