Coherent and octave-spanning supercontinuum generations in a polarization-insensitive reverse-ridge AlGaAs waveguide

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a polarization-insensitive AlGaAs waveguide. For both quasi-TE and quasi-TM modes, the coherent supercontinuums, which span more than 1.95 octaves at -40 dB level, can be generated at mid-infrared spectral region.
