Abstract

This paper covers grant, loan and other incentive systems to support historic buildings derived from literature and interviews with officials in USA, Canada and some western European countries. Together with outputs 2 & 3, this article was cited in House of Commons: ODPM: Housing, Planning, Local Government and the Regions Committee, Eleventh Report of Session 2003-4 (Volume I) into “The Role of Historic buildings in Urban Regeneration” (HC 47-I, EV29 published on 29 July 2004).
