Underpinned by a unique participatory consultation document conducted by the authors, FIN created much interest from the Treasury and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister; being seen as a highly innovative model of inclusive financial service delivery. Papers related to this work have been presented at local, national and international conferences, including the ‘Employment and Fiscal Welfare’ sub-theme of the Social Policy Association Conference, July 2002, University of Teesside, Middleborough and the 'Countering Urban Segregation’ Working Conference, Free University of Amsterdam, October 2004.
