Abstract

In the original publication [1], there was a mistake in Figure 2 as published. The H 2 density profile in the Uranus panel and H 2 and H profiles in the Neptune panel were incorrectly retrieved from the literature. This is now corrected in the figure below, and all other neutral and ion species were checked to confirm that no other similar mistakes were made. In addition, the X-axis numbering was made denser so that the values in the figure are easier to read; specifically, the tick mark spacing is now spaced to display every two orders of magnitude, instead of every three. The corrected Figure 2 appears below. The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
