Abstract
In “Sec. 2.2: Materials and synthesis” of the paper (Khalid et al., 2018), a minor detail about the one-step synthesis method should be supplemented as follows. “The one-step method was used for synthesis of self-supported zeolites as follows: (1) the slurry mixture was mechanically stirred for 15 min at room temperature, (2) slurry was poured into 25.4 × 25.4 × 101.6 mm teflon molds, and (3) molds were directly put into autoclave for hydrothermal treatment under different conditions (Table 2). For initial 6 h of the hydrothermal treatment, temperature was set to 60 °C to avoid shrinkage cracks due to rapid evaporation of water from the mixture. After 6 h, temperature was raised to the relevant values for respective samples (given in Table 2 of the paper (Khalid et al., 2018)).”
