Abstract

The Learning & Teaching Enhancement Unit held the second annual LSBU Learning & Teaching Conference on 18 January 2006. The day looked at ways in which we can address assessment creatively and by doing so, promote creativity in learners. Our external speakers helped us to re-think our approach to assessment, seeing it as an integrated part of the learning experience rather than just as a test of achievement. We considered imaginative approaches to assessment and how these can encourage creativity in the learner, providing a richer experience for all who participate. There was plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking both during the day and at the reception following the event.
