Abstract
The first six papers in this issue—under the theme ‘Culture Incorporated’—are proceedings from the 2003 conference of the Cultural Studies Association of Australasia which was held for the first time in New Zealand, at Christchurch. The conference itself was an extremely successful exercise in trans‐Tasman exchange and we hope that through our ongoing association with the CSAA we will continue to strengthen the relation between the journal and New Zealand readers. Our thanks to special issue editors Kevin Glynn and Howard McNaughton for putting together such a strong collection of papers and for their excellent editorial introduction to the papers.
