    Abstract

In terms of the concepts of gene force and gene community network, a novel multi-layer filter is proposed to screen the core genes. Applying the present algorithm to liver cancer microarray data with 3964 genes, the three core genes, composed of iron-related gene HAMP, metal-related metallothionein genes, and tumor proliferation-related GPC3 gene are screened. Based on these core genes, the formation and development mechanism of the HCC and the relationship between the HCC and trace metals, such as copper, iron and zinc, are analyzed and revealed.
