Abstract
During a day-trip in the course of the INSPEX 2006 (organized by the first author) to Krem Lawkhlieng, near Cherrapunjee (Sohra, Meghalaya, India) 164 m of virgin passage have been mapped. The sub-horizontally developed river cave Krem Lawkhlieng is located approximately 100 m below the sandstone caprock covering the table-like hill near Sohra/Cherrapunjee, covered with grassland and jungle. The new length of the cave is 2.335,7 m with many more passages not mapped so far. Because of the lack of time, many question marks remain unsurveyed, often set during the pre-last excursion in 1998. Additionally we discovered two openings that are located few meters below the main entrance. We had no time to survey them, but it seems clear, that they connect to Krem Lawkhlieng. At least one multi-day cave-trip will be necessary to survey all, or at least a significant part of this cave.
