Abstract

Comments on R. v Chilvers (Peter) (CA) categorising the types of case in which a Brown direction, based on R. v Brown (Kevin) (CA), was needed to ensure jury unanimity. Considers its suitability in cases of coercive and controlling behaviour based on particulars which identified a number of incidents.
