Abstract
Research is being carried out at the Versuchsanstalt fur Wasserbau, Hydrologie und Glaziologie, ETH Zurich into the flow behaviour of the Lauteraar, Finsteraar and Unteraar glaciers in Switzerland. Part of this research has been a study of the flow behaviour at the confluence of the Lauteraar and Finsteraar glaciers. The paper presents a summary of the main findings of this study, which was based on field measurements and three-dimensional modelling.
