Abstract
This article comprises a brief study and a transcription of the last will and testa-ment of the mother of Gómez Manrique (Amusco, 1412 – Toledo 1490), poet, dramatist, and politician. The will of the founder of the convent of St Clare in Amusco, Leonor de Castilla († 1448), Lady-in-waiting to the queen, was writ-ten in Amusco. It includes the full transcription of the will from the original manuscript in the Archive of Calabazanos convent. Leonor’s will has importance because of her relationship to the cancionero poet, Gómez Manrique, but also because of her desire to found a Clarian convent.
