Abstract

The evolution of the museum and the consequent increase of the cultural demand require the modification of communication systems, in a way that makes the displayed objects more comprehensible and attractive. In the last two decades the digital technology has been enriching the communication tools at the disposal of museums. Recently, Mobile Technology has become more and more ubiquitous therefore its utilization is going to affect several human activities of everyday life including museums. Information conveyed through mobile devices can involve visitors in an appealing, an interesting and an enlightening experience. The writing talks about how Mobile Technology might contribute to offer museums effective communication strategies in order to enrich the visitor's experience.
