Spruce Pine, North Carolina (2018) was selected for exhibion as part of a group show of expanded animation. The following is taken from the exhibition information:
In parallel to the SAS conference, we have curated an exhibition of animation works in expanded format at the Convento São Pedro de Alcântara.
This exhibition, using the walls and various spaces of the convent to display 15 animation pieces, from experimental to documentary, aims to profit from a uniquely beautiful landmark building in the centre of Lisbon, contrasting the historical background of the venue with the multiple approaches of contemproray animation. Simultaneously, the convent will also host an exhibition of animation materials selected by Casa da Animação, complementing a retrospective of Portuguese films sponsored by Agência da Curta Metragem The retrospective screening will take place on the 18th at 7pm. The exhibitions will be open to the public from the 17th to the 21st.
