Abstract
A large domestic property with a disproportionately small existing kitchen resulted in the clients desire to extend. The project afforded us the opportunity to internally remodel the dark cellular service spaces to the rear of the property in order to rationalise the internal circulation and combine unused floor space with the new open plan layout.
Bringing natural light deep into the plan was a priority whilst maintaining the features of the existing external wall.
A new timber clad porch completed the project which had an emphasis on storage to meet the families ever growing needs.
General maintenance works were also carried out throughout the main house which included switching the inefficient oil heating system to a sustainably conscious wood pellet boiler.
