N2 - It is important to explicitly acknowledge in the conclusion of the book that we, as editors of the collection, do not have all the answers when it comes to addressing deep-seated issues relating to race, gender, class, dis/ability, sexuality, and other often intersecting inequalities generated and perpetuated within academia, society, or the criminal justice system. What we reflect on in our own practice and hope to encourage others to talk about, question, and challenge is how these inequalities are reproduced and perpetuated by the people who research, write about, and publish in relation to crime, criminology, and criminal justice, either consciously or not.
