Abstract

The aims of this chapter are twofold: (1) to explore my personal use of mixed-media embroidery practice to find my place in academia; and (2) to present a guide on how others can use intuitive mixed-media embroidery practice to reflect on their own experiences of academia. This chapter is a personal reflection on my embroidery practice, and how it has helped me make sense of moves through various disciplines and the grant-writing process.
