Abstract

Featuring voice notes from refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, Hold to Record shares and celebrates the words of those who have experienced forced displacement. With new writing by Naseraldeen Ahmad, Ahed Aljondi, Yafet Amanuel, Sule Selin Cicek, Roua Horanieh, Hamida Khoder, Tania A. Marron, Olja Mladjenović, Vinicius Morfer, Frank Mukisa Nsubuga, Solin Shafiq Issa and Anan Tello, this anthology has been created with communities who have fled violence and persecution, and yet who continue to offer messages of solidarity and hope. Part of the Voice Notes project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, UK.
