    Abstract

    This chapter summarizes and discusses the perspectives related to Stakeholder Engagement and its implications for sustainability processes in several areas and that are covered in the chapters of the book. In particular, this chapter emphasize the main benefits and criticisms affecting the process of stakeholder engagement addressed towards more sustainable business models, providing an overview of the reasons why it is important to involve stakeholders in the decision-making process of the company and how to effectively manage relationships with them by sharing knowledge and developing trust, even in the presence of cultural differences. Based on previous considerations, this book presents conclusions, limitations and future research areas on SE in the context of sustainability.
