Abstract

Interest in identity as a form of understanding individual behaviour in its social context has been extensive in the social sciences and within business and management, particularly organization studies (Alvesson et al. 2008), for around 30 years. In the field of entrepreneurship interest in identity is more recent but increasingly prevalent across a range of traditions and approaches, which at their broadest can be split into sociology and social psychology.
