Abstract
Decolonising Death Studies emphasises the need for diversification of voices, methodologies, geographies, epistemologies and disciplines in the field of thanatology/death studies. The aim is to give space to the sources of episteme, which are often marginalised or dismissed. Such are those deriving from non-Eurocentric epistemologies, a range of scholarly backgrounds and career stages, and a variety of methods of understanding death, dying, and bereavement, thus highlighting that one-size-fits-all is not an effective approach.
