Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Population ageing is driving an increase in chronic or non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and many of these conditions can be managed with the right health care; hypertension is a case in point. • Older people’s health needs are routinely neglected. • Investing in the health of older people can be very cost-effective. • Interventions need not be expensive or resource-intensive. • Addressing health issues, such as hypertension in a timely manner, can bring considerable social and economic benefits.
