Abstract
A low complexity soft-input-soft-output (SISO) linear MMSE equalizer followed by a SISO decoder is used to perform turbo equalization for space time block code (STBC) wireless system over frequency-selective fading channels. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed scheme approaches very closely to that of trellis-based multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) system used in literatures while providing large saving in computational complexity. Simulation results also show that STBC with MMSE equalizer is less sensitive to channels estimation error than MIMO based MAP equalizer.
