Abstract
This chapter introduces the use of differing management approaches in construction organizations for their moves toward sustainable development. It presents five key management approaches: (1) sustainable procurement, (2) integrated project delivery, (3) environmental management system, (4) building sustainability assessment systems, and (5) post-occupancy management. Processes and key elements involved in those management approaches are discussed along with their associated benefits and challenges.
