Abstract
This report presents the findings of an evaluation of the Big Diversion Project (BDP). The BDP was funded by the Offender Health Commissioning Unit – North East (OHCU-NE) and comprised three projects that were delivered by the Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) and Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV. The evaluation was designed to assess the development, delivery and management of three pilot projects,to inform the future development of liaison and diversion services and care pathways for offenders. The evaluation identified that the pilots had made substantial progress, faced a number of challenges and also made recommendations to support on-going service development and delivery.
