Abstract

The numerical simulation is performed to investigate the gas-liquid two-phase flow in non-circular micro-channels using the mixture model in ANSYS FLUENT. The equivalent diameter of the nor-circular channels is 2.4mm, and the aspect ratios are 0.67, 1 and 1.5 respectively. The distributions of two-phase temperature, void fraction and surface friction coefficient are obtained. Results show that the aspect ratio have different effects on the heat transfer characteristics of nor-circular channels and the optimal one is the channel with aspect ratio of 1.5.
