Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease that causes pain, limitation of movement, and disability. The diagnosis of OA requires clinical examination, pathology, and/or radiography. OA has no cure, the current available treatment focuses on pain management and improving the quality of life. This treatment
includes non-pharmacological treatment such as exercises and physiotherapy, pharmacological such as acetaminophen, Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) and opioids, and surgical interventions such as joint replacement.
