Proceedings of the 3rd Global Summit of Research Institutes for Disaster Risk Reduction

This books selected papers, including sections from the editors, from the 3rd Global Summit of Research Institutes for Disaster Risk Reduction which focused on "Expanding the Platform for Bridging Science and Policy Making". The conference not only provided a platform for discussion and exchange of information on most important current and future research projects in disaster risk reduction and management but also promoted active dialogue through group discussion sessions that were held according to the disaster research disciplines. To facilitate group discussion sessions, a prior survey was conducted to evaluate the current research status and identify the most important future research themes and projects.
