Abstract

This chapter examines the community resilience in the context of palliative care. It explains that the relationship between palliative care and the communities they serve is crucial to the successful support of both. This is because effective and supportive care during and after dying, death, and loss depend heavily not only on effective and timely medical and nursing services but also on the support from members of the broader community.
