Revolutionising Healthcare Performance: The Synergistic Role of Data-driven Innovation and Fifth Industrial Revolution Technologies

This study aims to examine the impact of data-driven innovation (DDI) and Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR) technologies on the overall business performance (BP) of Dubai’s healthcare sector. The healthcare industry is increasingly relying on technological advancements and data-driven strategies, integration of 5IR technologies is essential for enhancing and maintaining market competitiveness and operational efficiency. Quantitative research design is employed by utilising a structured online survey to target healthcare administrators, professionals and IT managers from numerous healthcare companies in Dubai. The sample comprises 250 participants, selected by using purposive sampling. The survey assessed variables concerning 5IR technologies, DDI and BP. The collected data is evaluated using statistical methods, including regression and correlation analysis, to determine the relationships and significance among variables. The findings demonstrate a significantly positive impact of DDI on the overall BP, with 5IR technologies intervening in this relationship. Recommendations include investing in 5IR technologies and strengthening data integration. Besides, further studies are required to examine the long-term consequences of the aforesaid technologies in the healthcare sector.
