    Abstract

    This chapter describes the artwork Sly Lost Games, (Goodfellow, 2011), in the book, About Painting, (2011). In particular it considers the work in relation to two works by the artist Hans Haacke, to illustrate the difference between closed, open, and distributed systems in art. These referenced works are, Chickens Hatching, (Haacke, 1970), and ‘All systems go’, (Haacke, 1971).
