Research output: Book/ReportBookpeer-review

Abstract

This Red Guide explores our experiences of introducing a large-scale student peer mentoring scheme by focusing on its impact from an Assessment for Learning (AfL) perspective. The Guide is structured into three sections. To begin with, the context of the peer mentoring project is outlined, secondly, we explain our view of mentoring, informed by what our students have told us, given that many definitions of mentoring exist within the literature. Finally we highlight some students’ perspectives, gathered as part of research undertaken with the student mentors, which we have analysed from an Assessment for Learning perspective.
