The scalar control of brush-less doubly fed reluctance machines

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

The Brush-less Doubly-Fed Reluctance Machine (BDFRM) is drawing more attention because of its low producing capital. The paper is trying to treat this new kind of motor as a special kind of induction machine. The torque producing principle has been revealed. And the relationship of three speeds was yielded from the calculation. based on the matrix(differential equations), a model of bdfrm was built with software of matlab. At the moment, two scalar control methods: One is open loop V/F, and the other is close-loop (P.I.) were applied to the test. From the simulation results, it is obvious that the new machine can achieve the required response.
