abstract = "This is an invited presentation to the International Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability (DESIS) community as part of their DESIS Caf{\'e} series of events / ideas-exchanges.The presentation was live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdcPclB5Jkk and can be found between minutes: [11.10 and 17.25].The focus was to share work-in-progress on the co-design process with Tiny Lives Trust and Newcastle Neonatal Service.Early Learning for a design audience was presented as follows:*Do all you can, to keep service- users{\textquoteright} voices evident in the project.*Act through the in-hospital phase, to drive positive experiences of transition to home.*Geographical power - don't underestimate the impact of geography on the ability for families to engage with hospital-based care services (in general) and particularly where a poorly infant/child is involved. This drives health inequalities which can then be exacerbated by socio-economic factors.",
