Abstract

Chronic pain can be a complication of device implantation. Repositioning to another anatomical location can solve chronic pain. We describe a novel approach to allow the safe passage of delicate pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) leads and their connectors through the body wall tissues without risk of damage, using a chest drain as a tool.
