Abstract
In many respects a natural heir to predecessors like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel, Supernatural tells the story of brothers Dean and Sam Winchester as they travel the highways and byways of America in search of demons, monsters and other supernatural foes. In the course of their travels, Sam and Dean battle tricksters, vampires, shapeshifters, ghouls and ghosts. The essays in TV Goes to Hell include explorations of folklore and religion, representations of gender and sexuality and many more themes and issues raised by the show.
