    Abstract

    This paper addresses some issues around the definition of responsible tourism in practice. It is drawn from a larger empirical study into the development and implementation of responsible tourism by tour operators. The aim of this paper is to clarify the concept of responsible tourism and defining related principles and operational opportunities.
