    Abstract

This chapter draws from Whowell's experience as a volunteer outreach worker, as well as interviews with professional outreach workers to explore the process of doing outreach. It contributes to the wider literatures on prostitution by illuminating the complexity of outreach as a way of offering social care to sex workers on the street; an issue researchers may find fruitful to consider as part of their wider analysis.
