Abstract

With over 40,000 people under 65 living with dementia in the UK, many remain in employment or wish to continue working. This blog explains the legal protections available under the Equality Act 2010, including the right to reasonable adjustments and protection from discrimination, harassment, and pressure to retire. It addresses common myths, explains the choice around disclosing a diagnosis, and sets out the steps to take—including the strict time limit—if you experience unfair treatment at work.
