Abstract

Activity-based learning (ABL) is emerging as a pedagogical approach to better prepare students for real-world challenges. Northumbria University's Mechanical and Automotive Engineering programmes have embraced this approach by introducing dedicated ABL modules in 2021. This workshop will draw on the experiences gained, and lessons learned over the last three years to provide an interactive opportunity for participants to discuss the planning and implementation of ABL in engineering.
