Research interests

I am researching palaeoenvironmental and palaeoecological evolution during the Bronze Age throughout the eastern Mediterranean, with additional focus on southern Cyprus from 6000 years BP to the present day. My research uses the following microfossil, palynomorph and geochemical analytical techniques:

• Fossil Pollen and Non-Pollen Palynomorphs for interpreting vegetation dynamics, precipitation trends and agricultural variation.

• Siliceous Diatoms for interpreting relative sea level and seismo-tectonics.

• Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) for the geochemical analysis of heavy metal pollution.
