Research interests

Cathy is a social  gerontologist, a qualitative methodologist and an experienced participatory researcher. She has led on Public and Patient Involvement and works collaboratively with expert lay members.  She has a good track record of obtaining grant income, across a wide portfolio of funders, authorship of peer reviewed publications (> 45) and conducting research that has impacted on housing, health and social care practice and policy. Cathy is also involved in research and evaluation carried out with arts, voluntary, charitable and public sector partners and older adults, using arts interventions to promote health and wellness.
