Research interests
Professor Sloan is based in the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy Subject Group. She developed the Faculty Leading in Entrepreneurial Academic Design (LEAD) research group and researches in approaches to delivering study and language skills, and is currently working on investigating student transition to university education, dual degrees, transnational education and student attendance. She is a Principal Fellow of the HEA, nationally jointly convened the HEA Internationalising the Curriculum initiative and contributed to the development of the HEA Internationalising Higher Education Framework. She sits on the Chartered Association of Business Schools Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Committee, conference committee, edits their ‘Perspectives on…’ web publication and was joint designer and deliverer of the Leaders in Learning and Teaching development programme.
